About Kenneth Wayne Custom Homes
Kenneth Wayne Custom Homes was never just a business idea—it was a story decades in the making.
Around the year 2000, a custom home builder named Kenneth Kerry Emmott—known to everyone as Kerry—built a home in the Cypress area that would unknowingly change everything. When my parents purchased that home, a simple conversation turned into a lifelong friendship between Kerry and my dad, Steven Wayne Snow.
Kerry went on to build my parents’ dream home, and the two partnered in business ventures and land development. In November of 2007, my dad passed away suddenly—a loss that changed everything.
In the years that followed, Kerry stepped into my life as a mentor and father figure, teaching me grit, discipline, and a deep respect for craftsmanship. Kerry has been building homes since 1996, always driven by passion rather than volume, creating homes for people he cared deeply about.
After graduating from Texas A&M University, I entered the home building industry myself. While the experience was valuable, I knew I didn’t want to build from templates or repeat the same house. I wanted to build homes the way I’d watched Kerry do it my entire life—starting with a vision, not a plan.
One conversation led to another.
We partnered up.
And Kenneth Wayne Custom Homes was born.
Named in honor of Kenneth Kerry Emmott and Steven Wayne Snow, our company is built on a legacy of integrity, trust, and craftsmanship.
